Excellent food . Friendly help .. seating inside and outside is usually very good most days . Saturdays, they are extremely busy and waiting for seating is expected , but the wait is short

The food is always abundant and delicious, but what I'm really writing my review about is the service and the amazing kindness and attentiveness of the staff. We especially appreciate how friendly the chefs / Owners are. Last year, I had a frightening experience with an unstable homeless person who assaulted me while I was on a walk with my husband and my dog. The owner came outside, scooped us up and brought us inside to comfort us with some food and some coffee. He and the entire staff were so unbelievably generous and understanding. We had always been a fan of this restaurant for breakfast, but now we just can't say enough about how wonderful everyone is there. It's always an outstanding experience when we come to Marvins for breakfast or lunch.

My friend was in town and wanted "Breakfast". Trying to remember someplace good, I remembered my Dad's favorite place (where he ate weekly with his friend. Figured that I'd try it. Parking was fantastic (under 20 yards), and we were shown a nice table when we first walked into the door. The Employees couldn't have been any nicer or more accommodating. Her Coffee and my Ice Tea were there in a flash, and it took a bit longer to get though the ample menu. The Food was WONDERFUL (and more then either of us could finish), and reasonably priced. While we were there, a nice family had "Birthday Breakfast". This is a place that's just epically NICE. Places like Marvin's don't stay in business without being good. I'm not sure how long Marvin's has been in business, but Dad passed away over 45 years ago. While it may be a "Mini-Trek", for me to make it to Novato, i can guarantee i'll be back soon. Nice location, reasonable prices, wonderfully friendly staff and excellent food make a location that's going to move to the dining short list.

This is my favorite place! It has been 2 years since I last went and was excited to come up and visit. I love seeing Marvin and his team cook, and he is a super friendly person. If he has time he will chat with you over the countertop. The wait staff is friendly and efficient, and I feel like they run a pretty tight ship. Choose the potatoes over the hash! The hash is good and cooked well, but the potatoes are seasoned and so yummy! He makes the best corned beef, and I craved it often when I was away. The Ira for juice really is freshly squeezed. I love how the there is a mix of seating: indoor, outdoor, countertop. The outdoor seating spills around sidewalk, lending a casual vibe to downtown Novato. I have had eggs Benedict, omelette, waffle, and of course corned beef hash. All so amazing!

As usual, I found this breakfast spot on yelp. It's very small and you might have to wait. Luckily we only had to wait about five minutes. They have a pretty extensive menu and lots of food. I had coffee and it was OK. I ordered a waffle with blueberries and it did not disappoint. I ended up eating the whole thing and you get lots of blueberries. I also ordered a side of bacon, which was very good. My husband had a bacon omelette and he was thrilled because you could get pepper jack cheese. He is omelette and hashbrowns, and took his English muffin home. Pricing was average for the area and also most other breakfast places. Only one bathroom and it's way in the back you go through where everybody's cooking. The place was tight and intimate. You could eat outside, but it was raining a little bit and I didn't want to.

A brunch spot that takes you to what feels like another world. I came to this diner for the first time and loved the simple, diner decor. What was better was the service and the other patrons. I sat at the "bar" facing the chefs which was so mesmerizing to watch. Some locals at our seat spoke with us and we're so friendly! Then, the food was AMAZING. The quantity of food was so large but the quality was delicious. The spicy hollandaise is the best hollandaise I have ever had. Wish I lived closer to come more often, but I will definitely be coming back.

Friendly atmosphere in a local diner with excellent food! First of all best hash browns I can remember! Tara was friendly and efficient ! I had an egg white omelette with bacon spinach and pepper jack cheese! Fluffy eggs and fresh bacon spinach made this an awesome breakfast!!! Cooked perfectly by the owner Chuck!!! Thanks to local res VB who recomended this place to me!!! I'll b back!!!

A wonderfully cozy little diner with yummy food and friendly service. I was seated immediately. There are both indoor and outdoor options. The service was prompt and staff were welcoming. The music playing was country, but I didn't mind even though I typically don't enjoy that genre. They have both breakfast and lunch options which are sold all day. I ordered the eggs and sausage breakfast. Everything was fresh and made to order. I enjoyed the coffee as well. While I ate I got unlimited refills on my water and coffee, which was appreciated. I wasn't able to finish my meal as I became too full! My second time I ate outside and had blueberry pancakes. I got the short stack (2) and they're massive! I could only finish half.
